An Autumn Affair is an enjoyable, heart-warming read. It’s about life, love and motherhood, and about the missed opportunities that tug at the heartstrings as people age. I felt real empathy for Julia, Miranda and Faye, with their different issues and regrets, and I really wanted things to work out for them. Alice Ross connects the lives of these three women—each one at her own personal crossroads—with skill and ease, and the three stories are woven intricately together, although each character has her own very different ending. This is a lovely novel that would be perfect for a rainy day or as a beach read. Alice Ross has a lovely author voice and her warmth and enjoyment of story telling shines through.
